A New Entry for the Let's Talk Product Course Series Has Just Launched!
We are very excited to announce this course as the latest addition to our Let’s Talk Product series. Contrast to how topicals were previously discussed in past courses, these courses will instead provide a full and open discussion as to what specific brand name topical products exemplify those concepts and information discussed in other courses on the site.
Unsure of which brand name topicals to consider recommending for your acne patients? Don't be!...
This course explores a wide range of brand name topical products, organized according to topical protocols for: general acne care (as a basic protocol), oily skin, inflammatory acne, sensitive skin, and post-inflammatory hyperpigmentation. Considerations for more unique and specific clinical scenarios are also discussed.
Product categories include:
- Facial skin cleansers
- Facial moisturizers
- Acne-focused topicals & serums (containing cosmeceutical ingredients for managing a given aspect of acne care)
- Sunscreens
- Spot treatments
- Facial masks
What this course adds to your clinical repertoire...
This course is an excellent way to familiarize yourself with many of the common brand name topical products on the market designed for acne prone skin. Skincare is such a central, yet often under appreciated aspect of acne care. Our goal is to provide you with a product-focused starting point from which you can then continue to confidently create and build your own set of topical product recommendations to help support your patient population.
This a sister course to both the Beyond the Textbook: Approaches to Managing Acne Vulgaris & Topical Protocols for Acne courses. Although it’s not required, it is recommended to first take these sister courses ahead of this one as they will provide for more depth, clinical details, and research surrounding most of the topical products and cosmeceutical ingredients discussed in this course.
*Note: Use of this course is strictly for licensed healthcare and medical providers and students attending accredited institutions providing training in such fields.
